How do I install this campaign?
Before you install, please make sure you have the Steam Client installed along with Left 4 Dead 1. Also make sure the game has been launched at least once through Steam. Then, all you need to do is to extract and/or move the ihatemountains.vpk here: ...Steamsteamappscommonleft 4 deadleft4deadaddons
To successfully see our custom visual effects:
Temporary disable any custom campaign you may have installed except I Hate Mountains because they can overwrite themselves pretty bad due to engine limitations. To do this, go to Menu > Extra > Add-ons and uncheck the checkboxes near each content. This only include waterfalls, rotor wind, sprinklers rain and such, but plays a huge role in immersion.
To successfully hear our custom sound effects:
Type snd_rebuildaudiocache in the game console in order to rebuild the game sound cache and include our sounds into it. This only include ambient sound, but plays a huge role in immersion. Because it can be quite intimidating to survive the first tries, enable the game instructor in Options > Multiplayer > Game Instructor and then, type gameinstructor_reset_counts in the game console to reactivate all the help messages. Spore De-Authorization Tool

By running the de-deauthorization tool, a machine "slot" will be freed up on the online Product Authorization server and can then be re-used by another machine.
You can de-authorize at any time, even without uninstalling Spore, and free up that machine authorization. If you re-launch Spore on the same machine, the game will attempt to re-authorize.
If you have not reached the machine limitation, the game will authorize and the machine will be re-authorized using up one of the five available machines.
